KEITH URBAN BRINGS “RIPCORD WORLD TOUR 2016” TO COVELLI CENTRE

September 9, 2016

Four-time Grammy Award winner and 2016 CMA Awards multi-nominee Keith Urban will bring his “ripCORD World Tour 2016” to Covelli Centre in Youngstown on Sunday, November 13, with Brett Eldredge and special guest Maren Morris. Tickets go on sale at 10 am on Friday, September 16 at ticketmaster.com, Southwoods Health box office at Covelli Centre, or 1-800-745-3000.

“I’m seriously chomping at the bit to play for the fans on this tour,” said Urban.  “We’ll be playing a lot of new music from ripCORD, all new production, new cities where we’ve never played…and Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris? It’s gonna be potent and unbridled!”

Brett Eldredge’s latest single, “Drunk On Your Love”, became his fifth consecutive No. 1 song. It is the second No. 1 from his recently released sophomore album, Illinois. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 3 on the Billboard top 200. The album’s first single, “Lose My Mind,” also reached No. 1. The 2014 CMA New Artist of the Year co-wrote and co-produced every song on the 12 set disc, which follows on the heels of his 2013 debut album Bring You Back.

Twenty-five year-old Columbia Nashville singer/songwriter Maren Morris has quickly established herself in Nashville’s music community with songwriting and vocal stylings that reflect her country, folk and pop influences, with Rolling Stone Country touting her “a stellar solo artist in her own right. Morris’s first single, “My Church”, became a Top 10 hit at country radio and was the fastest rising single from a debut artist in ten years. Her first full-length album, Hero, was release on June 3. Her latest single, “80’s Mercedes” is now on country radio and has reached the Top 30. Morris just earned five 2016 CMA Award nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Urban’s ‘ripCORD World Tour 2016’ follows the May 6 release of his eighth studio album, RIPCORD, which has already produced three No. 1 singles – the Grammy nominated “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16”, “Break On Me”, and “Wasted Time”, which stayed atop the charts for two weeks and became Urban’s 21st No. 1 record. RIPCORD’s fourth single, “Blue Ain’t Your Color”, is on the radio and racing up the country music charts just weeks after its release. Urban continues to add to his career CMA Awards nominations, garnering four for the upcoming 2016 event, including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year.
